Photography: The Hamptons 1985

During the 70s, 80s, and 90s, East Hampton, South Hampton, Sagaponack, Sag Harbor and all the other villages and towns located on the South fork on the east end of Long Island–all collectively known as The Hamptons, was the center of the NYC art world during the summer months. These photos depict some of the luminaries and other residents of the area. Today it remains an upscale community.
